At first, I thought Phatthalung was just a place you passed through on the way south, or perhaps only known for its rice. But once I experienced it for myself, I realized it truly has everything: stunning nature that makes your heart swell, incredibly delicious food, a lovely culture, and best of all, a slow-paced lifestyle that’s perfect for anyone looking to truly unwind!

When you arrive in Phatthalung, the first thing you absolutely must do is embark on a local food tour! This province is renowned for its intense flavors and unique tastes. You have to try Gaeng Som Pla Kra Pong Yod Maprao (sour curry with sea bass and coconut shoots) – it’s a perfect blend of sour, spicy, and salty that will make you give it a thumbs-up! Or, try Pad Sator (stir-fried stink beans) which has a wonderfully pungent aroma that makes your mouth water (if you love stink beans, you’ll be in heaven!). Don’t miss Khanom Jeen Nam Ya Pa (rice noodles with wild curry sauce), which is incredibly rich and flavorful. And for something sweet to cool down after the spice, try Khanom Pie Look Tan (palm fruit pie) – it’s deliciously refreshing and just the right amount of sweet!

Phatthalung boasts incredibly beautiful and tranquil eco-tourism natural attractions. A definite must-visit is Thale Noi! This is a haven for various waterbirds, especially in the early morning when you can spot swallows gracefully flying by or water buffalo happily bathing in the water – it’s such a delightful sight, and the air is just amazing! Every photo turns out stunning! There’s also Phaya Nak Cave, a truly beautiful limestone cave, or you can enjoy a light hike up Khao Ok Thalu, the provincial symbol of Phatthalung. You’re guaranteed to get tons of gorgeous photos to show off to your friends!
Chill Out and Soak It In…The Charming Southern Culture ✨🎭
In Phatthalung, you’ll experience a local culture that remains very traditional and endearing. For instance, Nang Talung(shadow puppet theatre) is an ancient folk art form, a cultural heritage passed down through generations. Try to catch a show if you can; it’s truly charming! Or, take a stroll through the Old Market of Bang Kaeo, where you can witness the local way of life, see vendors selling local products, and perhaps even taste some delicious traditional desserts! It gives you a lovely nostalgic feeling.
Sustainable Agriculture…The Simple Heart of Phatthalung 🌾🚜
Did you know that agriculture is at the very core of Phatthalung? The province has diverse cultivation areas, including rubber plantations, oil palm groves, and most importantly, Sangyod rice! Phatthalung is a significant rice-producing region in the South, allowing us to see beautiful green fields, especially when the rice is ripening, turning the entire landscape a stunning golden yellow. Some places even offer homestays where tourists can experience the life of a rice farmer firsthand. It’s another experience you shouldn’t miss! You truly get to immerse yourself in the simplicity of life.
Nowadays, I’m an agriculturist. I do about vegetable, durian, banana, pomelo, cocoa and so on. My farm have a fishing camp for take a rest

สวัสดีค่ะ เราชื่อ “คริส เประนาม” เรียกเราว่า เชลล์ ได้ค่ะ ตอนนี้เราอายุ 21ปีค่ะ 25 กรกฎานี้ก็จะ 22แล้ว เรามาจากจังหวัดพัทลุง เป็นจังหวัดที่อยู่ทางภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย
เที่ยวพัทลุง…เมืองเล็กๆ ที่มีแต่ความน่ารัก ซอฟต์ๆ สบายใจ! 🌿✨
เคยไหมคะ ที่อยากจะหนีความวุ่นวายจากเมืองกรุง ไปพักผ่อนหย่อนใจในที่ที่เงียบสงบ แต่ก็ยังอยากมีมุมเก๋ๆ ให้ถ่ายรูปสวยๆ ลงโซเชียล? ถ้าใช่ล่ะก็…วันนี้แพรวจะชวนไปรู้จักกับ “พัทลุง” ค่ะ! จังหวัดทางใต้บ้านเรานี่เอง ที่บอกเลยว่ามีเสน่ห์ล้นเหลือกว่าที่คิดเยอะเลยน้า!
ตอนแรกแพรวก็คิดว่าพัทลุงเป็นแค่ทางผ่านลงใต้ หรือไม่ก็มีแต่เรื่องข้าวสารอะไรแบบนี้ใช่ไหมคะ? แต่พอได้มาสัมผัสเองถึงรู้ว่าที่นี่มีครบทุกอย่างจริงๆ ค่ะ ทั้งธรรมชาติที่สวยจนใจฟู อาหารอร่อยแซ่บแบบติดใจ วัฒนธรรมที่น่ารัก และที่สำคัญคือได้ใช้ชีวิตแบบสโลว์ไลฟ์ที่เหมาะกับสาวๆ ที่อยากพักผ่อนมากๆ เลยล่ะ!
อร่อยจนต้องบอกต่อ…ฟินทุกคำ สไตล์พัทลุงแท้ๆ! 🌶️😋
มาถึงพัทลุงทั้งที สิ่งแรกที่ต้องทำคือการตระเวนชิม อาหารท้องถิ่น ค่ะ! ที่นี่เค้าขึ้นชื่อเรื่องความจัดจ้านและรสชาติที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์มากๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น แกงส้มปลากะพงยอดมะพร้าว ที่เปรี้ยว เผ็ด เค็ม ครบรสแบบต้องยกนิ้วให้ หรือจะลอง ผัดสะตอ ที่หอมฉุนชวนน้ำลายไหล (ใครชอบสะตอคือฟินแน่นอน!) นอกจากนี้ยังมี ขนมจีนน้ำยาป่า ที่เข้มข้นถึงเครื่องแกง หรือจะหาของหวานเย็นๆ อย่าง ขนมลูกตาล ก็อร่อยชื่นใจ ไม่หวานมากกำลังดีเลยค่ะ ทานแล้วสดชื่นสุดๆ!
สูดโอโซนให้เต็มปอด…กอดธรรมชาติแบบกรีนๆ 💚🏞️
พัทลุงมีแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทาง ธรรมชาติเชิงอนุรักษ์ ที่สวยงามและเงียบสงบมากๆ เลยค่ะ ที่ห้ามพลาดเลยคือ ทะเลน้อย ค่ะ! ที่นี่เป็นแหล่งดูนกน้ำนานาชนิด โดยเฉพาะช่วงเช้าตรู่ เราจะได้เห็น นกนางแอ่น บินโฉบไปมา หรือ ควายน้ำ ที่ลงไปแช่ในน้ำอย่างมีความสุข เป็นภาพที่น่ารักมากๆ แถมอากาศก็ดีสุดๆ ถ่ายรูปออกมาคือปังทุกช็อตเลยค่ะ! นอกจากนี้ยังมี ถ้ำพญานาคที่เป็นถ้ำหินปูนสวยงามมากๆ หรือจะไปปีนเขาเบาๆ ที่ เขาอกทะลุ สัญลักษณ์ของจังหวัดพัทลุงก็ได้ค่ะ รับรองว่าได้รูปสวยๆ กลับไปอวดเพื่อนเพียบ!
ชิลล์ๆ ซึมซับ…วัฒนธรรมน่ารักๆ ของชาวใต้ ✨🎭
ที่พัทลุงเราจะได้สัมผัสกับ วัฒนธรรม ท้องถิ่นที่ยังคงความดั้งเดิมและน่ารักมากๆ เลยค่ะ อย่างเช่น การแสดงหนังตะลุง ที่เป็นศิลปะการแสดงพื้นบ้านอันเก่าแก่ ถือเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่สืบทอดกันมาอย่างยาวนาน ลองหาโอกาสไปชมสักครั้งนะคะ น่ารักมากๆ เลยค่ะ หรือจะลองไปเดินเล่นที่ ตลาดเก่าบางแก้ว ที่เราจะได้เห็นวิถีชีวิตของชาวบ้าน การค้าขายสินค้าพื้นเมือง และอาจจะได้ชิมขนมโบราณอร่อยๆ อีกด้วยนะ! ได้ฟีลย้อนยุคเบาๆ ค่ะ
วิถีเกษตร…ความสุขที่เรียบง่ายของพัทลุง 🌾🚜
รู้ไหมคะว่า เกษตรกรรม เป็นหัวใจสำคัญของพัทลุงเลยนะ ที่นี่เค้ามีพื้นที่เพาะปลูกหลากหลาย ทั้ง สวนยางพารา สวนปาล์มน้ำมัน และที่สำคัญคือ นาข้าวสังหยด พัทลุงเป็นแหล่งผลิตข้าวที่สำคัญแห่งหนึ่งในภาคใต้ ทำให้เราได้เห็นผืนนาเขียวขจีที่สวยงามมากๆ โดยเฉพาะในช่วงที่ข้าวออกรวง จะเหลืองอร่ามไปทั่วทั้งทุ่งเลยล่ะค่ะ บางที่ก็เปิดเป็นโฮมสเตย์ให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้ไปสัมผัสชีวิตชาวนาอย่างใกล้ชิดด้วยนะ เป็นอีกประสบการณ์ที่ไม่ควรพลาดเลยค่ะ ได้ซึมซับความเรียบง่ายของชีวิตจริงๆ
ปัจจุบันเราเป็นเกษตรกรผู้ผัก ทุเรียน กล้วยหอม ส้มโอ โกโก้ และอื่นๆอีกเยอะเลย ที่ฟาร์มของเราเปิดเป็นบ่อตกปลาด้วย สามารถมาแคม์ปปิ้งได้ บรรยากาศที่ฟาร์มของเราร่มรื่น เต็มไปด้วยต้นไม้นาๆชนิด ให้ร่มเงา เกือบตลอดทั้งวัน มีสายลมเย็นพับผ่าน เหมาะสำหรับการผักผ่อน ผูกเปลนอนมากๆ
เราได้รับโอกาสที่ดีจาก IFYE Thailand ได้ไปแลกเปลี่ยนที่ สาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์ เราดีใจและตื่นเต้นกับการเดินทางที่จะมาถึงมากๆ

Sharing Experiences from IFYE THAILAND Training: Six Days, Five Nights🪷🧚♀️🍃
I’d love to share the fantastic experience I had during the six-day, five-night training program with IFYE THAILAND!
Day one started with our journey to Saraburi Province. We stayed at Chet Sao Noi Waterfall National Park, which had such a serene atmosphere. There were lovely nature trails to walk, and along the way, the sounds of birds and the waterfall were incredibly relaxing.
Day 2, we learning about knowledge regarding the 4-H CLUB’s journey to becoming Thai Youth Agriculturalists, as well as the important role of IFYE THAILAND.
Day 3, we had the opportunity to visit and learn from the Ban Pong Ket School Youth Agriculturalist Groupand observe the large-scale corn farmers in Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province.
Day 4, we visited to the Chao Om Eco-Agricultural Tourism Community Enterprise in Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi. The agricultural practices there were incredibly diverse! When we visited, we got to eat fresh mangosteen, pineapple, and durian directly from the farm. The atmosphere was cool and pleasant, the scenery was beautiful, and the fruits were absolutely delicious.
Day 5, the IFYE THAILAND association provided us with additional knowledge about proper conduct when participating in exchange programs in various countries, and we practiced how to introduce ourselves in an engaging way.
Finally Day 6, we practiced writing blogs to share the wonderful stories we had encountered throughout the program.
Every day of the training was filled with happiness and fun! All the activities were highly applicable, and it truly felt like such a valuable time for all of us. New friendships, new learnings, and meeting new people – all of these are definitely great opportunities for the future.

วันแรก จะเป็นส่วนของการเดินทางไปยังจังหวัดสระบุรี แล้วเราก็นอนพักที่อุทยานแห่งชาติเจ็ดสาวน้อยบรรยากาศร่มรื่น มีเส้นทางเดินชมธรรมชาติ ตลอดเส้นเสียงทางมีเสียงนกและเสียงน้ำตก ผ่อนคลายมากๆ
วันที่สอง จะเป็นการแชร์ความรู้เกี่ยวกับ4-H CLUB ที่มายุวเกษตรไทย และ บทบาทของ IFYE THAILAND
วันที่สาม พวกเราได้ ไปศึกษาดูงาน ณ กลุ่มยุวเกษตรกรโรงเรียนบ้านโป่งเกตุ และศึกษาดูงาน ณ แปลงใหญ่ข้าวโพดเลี้ยงสัตว์อำเภอแก่งคอย จังหวัดสระบุรี
วันที่สี่ พวกเราได้ไปเยี่ยมชม ณ วิสาหกิจชุมชนท่องเที่ยวเกษตรเชิงอนุรักษ์ชะอม อำเภอแก่งคอย จังหวัดสระบุรี
ที่นั่นมีการเกษตรกรรมที่หลากหลายตอนที่พวกเราไปเราได้กินมังคุด สัปปะรดและทุเรียนสดๆจากที่สวนด้วย บรรยากาศเย็นสบายวิวทิวทัศน์สวยงาม ผลไม้อร่อย
วันที่ห้า สมาคมIFYE THAILAND ได้ให้ความรู้เพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับข้อปฏิบัติตนเมื่อต้องไปแลกเปลี่ยน ณ ประเทศต่างๆ และฝึกแนะนำตัวอย่างไรให้น่าสนใจ
วันที่หกพวกเราฝึกการเขียน Blog เพื่อแชร์เรื่องราวดีๆ ที่พวกเราได้เจอมาค่ะ
ในทุกๆวันของการอบรมพวกเรามีความสุข สนุกสนานกันมากเลย ทุกกิจกรรมสามารถนำมาปรับใช้ได้อย่างดี รู้สึกว่าเป็นช่วงเวลาที่มีค่าสำหรับพวกเรา มิตรภาพใหม่ การเรียนรู้ใหม่ การพบปะผู้คน ล้วนแล้วแต่เป็นโอกาสที่ดีในอนาคตอย่างแน่นอน ขอขอบคุณโอกาสดีๆ จากทางสมาคมIFYE THAILAND ที่สนับสนุนพวกเรา โคตรจะรักเลยค่ะทีมนี้💕🍀💐
